I’ve spent three decades in enterprise IT, working across virtually every technology discipline and industry vertical — on five continents, from small businesses to multinationals. I started on the ISP side while still in college, moved through higher education, then spent years at a Cisco-focused VAR and MSP working across the full technology stack for dozens of clients simultaneously.
From there I moved through a series of large, complex organizations: the world’s largest medical device manufacturer through multiple acquisitions, an Australia-headquartered global commercial real estate company and its subsequent de-merger into a French-headquartered real estate group, a high net-worth private banking institution, 5-star multinational hotel and resort properties, and one of the nation’s largest grocery chains with a European sister company. Each brought its own regulatory environment, operational complexity, and technology debt.
My primary specialty is Unified Communications, but the M&A work in particular has required me to move fluidly across voice, network, data center, security, and servers — simultaneously, under tight timelines, with business continuity as a hard constraint. I bring privacy architecture experience across HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA frameworks. That breadth is what Octagon Solutions delivers.
Octagon Solutions is based in Frederick, Maryland. For clients along the I-270 corridor and across the Baltimore–Washington metro, that means an engineer who can actually show up — for data center walk-throughs, cutover nights, and the conversations that go better in person. Work is scoped as fixed-price projects or hourly, remote or on-site as the job requires. You get the same engineer from first call to final documentation.
